Gear

Below is the equipment I’m currently using. I carry my gear in either my ThinkTank ShapeShifter pack or my MindShift Elite 45L pack. The pack I use depends on the kind of trip I’m taking. The ShapeShifter fits on airplanes better than any pack I’ve ever used. But it is limited in what it can carry, so I usually load it with fewer lenses. For instance, I’ll take my 28-300 f/3.5-5.6 rather than my 28-70 f/2.8 plus my 80-200 f/2/8 plus my 300 f/4.

If I’m driving and working mostly out of the car, I’ll bring the Elite 45L. The Elite 45L is also fantastic if I’m hiking and I need the extra space for water, food, extra clothing, and maybe even my one-person tent and my down sleeping bag.
