White Sands 2021 participant galleries

The White Sands workshop was fantastic. During the workshop we got to see a few images during critiques, but we want more!

Below are a few pictures sent in to share.

Let’s start with Shauna’s images:

    1. Thanks Shauna! You have great selections from the week. I do like the S curve dune-so dynamic! Also like the sunset with gold color across the dunes!
Hope your house closing went well-looking forward to seeing y’all in NC!

  1. Shauna,
All your images are beautiful. The first sunset shot with the gold rim light on the dune is my favorite. I like your almost aerial pov on the S-curve, and that there’s little sky. It’s got an energy to it. They’re all different and interesting.
    Congrats on your new home!

  2. Kathy,
Really cool images! I love them all — of course. Your BW shots are wonderful, especially the sand storm. The spotlight on the Yucca is great, too. Did you shoot the pink gypsum and blue/purple sky when you went out on your own? It looks dynamic, and like snow. You did get diverse imagery! I like that you shoot at different levels and below waist, and wide, which gives an expansiveness to the images. Big sky. I learned something!
    Lovely work.

  3. Susan, I love you BW imagery! The first image is wonderful-stark but delicate at the same time. Of the 3 images with same comp, I like the most contrasted one. It has a lot of energy and I like the detail in the sand.
Your portraits are fun and reminds me of what a great time we had! Good luck with your photographic journey!

  4. Tonya,
You have a realism style to your landscape shots. I felt like I was right in front of the Yucca branches in the sand. And the three Yuccas look like they’re dancing or communicating with each other. The powder blue s-curve is refreshing.
Nice images. I enjoyed looking at them.
    :)Susan
